London Plane Bedside - Large
These bedsides were first designed for a London bedroom and are made out of London plane, which is the most common tree growing in the capital since the 1600s. The wood has a varied and distinct flecked pattern, enhanced using natural wax oil, which is celebrated in this design and makes each bedside unique. The pull out shelf has a solid brass knob made by our bronzista in Florence and is perfect for when you need an extra surface for your water glass at night. The soft closing drawer has an ergonomic cut out handle, which also works well as an opening for a charger cable. There is plenty of space for books on the bottom shelf, which sits lightly atop the bedside's cylindrical feet. The top of the bedside has an ethically sourced vegetable tanned leather insert which has been finished with a natural wax. It will develop a beautiful patina over time. Other leather colours are available on request. This design is also available in a small size. Made in the UK.
