This New Wave Country Sofa was made for our de Gournay residency and is ex-display. There are a few chips on approx. 3 of the wooden legs which happened in transit to NY and are clearly shown in the images. We have used our Nettle Sage fabric for upholstery with oak feet in a natural oil finish. Please note this piece is sold as seen. All sales final.
The New Wave Country sofa is our interpretation of a traditional camelback sofa. It was first made by Beata for her house in the South of Sweden. Its back is relatively low which contributes to a more casual lounge feel. The sofa sits lightly in the room on high legs giving an airy impression. Its seat cushion, filled with a mix of feather and down, is particularly soft and comfy. The base itself is webbed in jute with a traditional coil-sprung seat, made to last for generations.
Materials
Upholstered solid beech frame, coil springs, feather and down cushions.

Collection
This New Wave Country sofa must be collected from the de Gournay showroom in New York. Please see de Gournay collection instructions below:
- Collections to happen between 10am and 5pm.
- NYC showroom must be informed of planned pick-ups at least 1 day in advance (emailĀ nathan@degournay.comĀ or call 212 564 9750).
- Clients will be responsible for all moving and packaging of the pieces.
- There is no loading dock at the de Gournay showroom, so movers will need to walk around 50-100+ feet around the corner outside the shop from the 2ndĀ ave entrance to get their trucks on 59thĀ street.

The Shoppa team will be in touch with the successful bidder to confirm collection.Ā
